I’m David Durtschi, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and Registered Psychotherapist. I founded Life Counseling and Wellness Center with one goal in mind: to help individuals, couples, and families find clarity, healing, and peace in the midst of life’s challenges. Life Counseling and Wellness Center | Serving Parker, Colorado and Surrounding Areas Since 2014, I’ve been honored to serve the Parker community and surrounding areas. I earned my graduate degree in counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and have worked with individuals facing a wide range of issues—from addiction and trauma to relationship struggles and personal growth. My early clinical experience includes working with substance use recovery at the Salvation Army and counseling individuals and couples at Noeticus Counseling Center. WHY I BECAME A COUNSELOR Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years as a massage therapist. Over time, I noticed something profound—once clients began to feel physically safe and supported, they often opened up emotionally. I heard stories of stress, trauma, loss, and hardship. And while massage could help with physical tension, I realized it couldn’t address the emotional roots of their pain. MY APPROACH I believe counseling should be a collaborative and empowering process. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported—where real conversations can lead to real transformation. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, addiction, or relationship issues, I’m here to help you develop the tools and insight you need to move forward with confidence. Outside the Office My wife, Melissa, and I are the proud (and busy!) parents of four wonderful children. Our family life is full of laughter, energy, and the occasional chaos that comes with parenting. On weekends, you might find us exploring the Denver Zoo or chasing our kids through the exhibits at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
